Life is Hard, but God is Good :: Alice Churnock, Ep. 331
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds.” James 1:2
Alice Churnock, from our Vestavia, Alabama community group, shares her story of suffering from a bleeding disorder for thirty years which stamped shame and embarrassment on her soul and ultimately led her to intense anger with God as the complications from her disorder led her to difficulties having children.
However, after experiencing an unexpected and abrupt miscarriage, God met Alice, as only a loving and good Father can, and brought her to a deeper faith and ultimately a healed body. This is a story that will encourage you to know God can handle your anger and your questions, but you must also be ready to listen for His answers.
In this episode, you will learn:
- God uses pain and trauma to grow your faith more than He uses the blessings He has given you—the blessings are often a byproduct of the pain.
- God is relational, and in a relationship there is speaking AND listening by BOTH parties.
- Joy is an inner attitude regardless of your circumstances.
